Brilliant for playing Badminton. Great court’s and lighting. The only thing that lets this place down is the changing room. Each week I have to rinse the floor in the shower. The shower heads have never been looked at, even when I reported that there’s more water spraying the wall rather than me. At one point there was mud on the wall and it was there over 3 weeks, until I reported it to reception. The receptionist came to have a look and that’s when I showed him the shower head.

I enjoy going to the gym here. All the staff that have been here for years are very helpful and nice when you need them. I like that there are all different people who attend from people who look like they run marathons to people who walk slowly on the running machines and everyone in between.
I’ve been going to John smeaton leisure centre gym for many years, it has always been the most friendly gym and staff that I have been too. It’s warm, and welcoming, with helpful staff. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.

Lovely little gym. Could do with some more space and an overall update but it has the bare minimum. I would say though that perhaps the policy needs looking at as I’ve seen kids in there, lifting weights that are immensely too heavy for them with extremely poor form that could not have been older than 13 years- which is terribly unhealthy. Tat bit too expensive for what it is gym wise but you do get lots of additional elements outside just the gym for it.
Only used gym and swimming which are both as you’d want, area clean, equipment decent, swimming lanes fine.
I love going to the Morley Leisure Centre! The staff are always friendly and the facilities are really clean. It’s a great place to work out and go swimming. I highly recommend it.

Staff are helpful, the buildings interior had undergone rebuild of reception and new paint / styling. Reception is now a desk, which works OK, but surely the height should match the standing customers? PS, why include squash in Membership, but charge £13 an hour for badminton – seems badmintonist. Otherwise pleasant and accessible services.

Friendly staff and welcoming, taken a 6 week special offer and tried gym induction with Ben who was most helpful,educational, and worked out a special regime for me to follow excellent!! Very encouraging.
Clean pool, plenty of guards and place was looking clean. No complaints.
